3. Suspension (wettable powder)
Suspension is a herbicide formulation of poorly soluble in water, oil, or other solvents. Powder can form a suspension when the water is dispersed, although it should be fixed to avoid stirring the precipitate. The suspension consists of a blend of solid particles in a liquid. Such suspension is for herbicides that can not be prepared as a solution or emulsion. The addition of surfactants will stabilize this suspension. Example: Simazine, Atrazine, Monuron, and Diuron
