In the face of Bandoeng Tempo Used books (1984) essay Haryato Kunto, the initial idea of development with regard to the opening of the Bandung station plantation in Bandung around 1870. This station was inaugurated on May 17, 1884, when the reign of Regents Koesoemadilaga and at the same time also opened a train line Batavia-Bandung via Bogor and Cianjur. At that time, the landlord estates (Preangerplanters) using the railway line to send the plantation to Batavia faster. To accommodate and store the crop that will be transported by train, built warehouses hoarding in several locations near Bandung Station, Jalan Cibangkong, Jalan Cikuda-Pateuh, Kosambi area, Kiaracondong, Braga, Pasirkaliki, Ciroyom, and Andir. Shortly after the inauguration of the Bandung-Surabaya track (1 November 1894), the owners of the sugar mills and plantations of Java, East Java Tengahdan (Suikerplanters) hired carriages to Bandung to attend Congress Sugar Planters' first. The Congress is the meeting of the Executive Board of Sugar Planters' Association (Bestuur van de Vereniging van Suikerplanters) in Surabaya in 1896.
