Dalam esai ini penulis akan membahas bagaimana cara menganalisis novel pride and prejudice oleh Jane Austen. Penulis akan menganalisa alur cerita, Selain itu penulis juga akan menganalisis tema. Sehingga penulis akan mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara tema dan plot dalam novel tersebut. Sesuai dengan judul skripsi yang saya buat, yaitu “ An Analysis The Relations Theme and Plot In The Novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen”
Hampir setiap karakter dalam buku, dan tidak hanya protagonis Elizabeth Bennet dan Mr Darcy. Penulis terlebih dahulu meneliti bagaimana menjelaskan plot, setting of palace and setting of time, sehingga terdapat tema apa saja yang muncul dalam cerita ini. Dari mulai exposition, rising action, conflict, climax, falling action, dan resolution. Karena dengan begitu akan sangat mudah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tema dan plot, dan para pembaca pun akan menarik kesimpulan bahwa novel ini sangat menarik untuk dibaca.
Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini agar penulis mengetahui sejauh mana hubungan antara tema dan plot dalam cerita novel Pride and Prejudice. Selain itu penulis juga menjelaskan dengan signifikan bagaimana alasan dan apa saja yang memperkuat hubungan antara tema dan plot tersebut.
Untuk menganalisis skripsi ini, penulis menggunakan teknik metode structural analis kuantitatif dengan jenis deskriftive. Selain itu dalam pengumpulan sumber data penulis juga mengumpulkan beberapa buku yang didaptkan di perpustakaan dan menggunakan website atau internet sehingga lebih mempermudah untuk mencari sumber data.
Setelah penulis mengumpulkan beberapa data, kemudian menganalisis novel, penulis tahu bagaimana alur cerita atau plot yang brakhir kebahagian. Selain itu, tema dalam novel pride and prejudice by Jane Austen. Yaitu, tentang cinta dan keluarga, untuk tema umum sendiri “pride and prejudice” sehingga hubungan tema dan plot dalam cerita ini sangat berkaitan. Penulis berharap skripsi ini bisa bermanfaat dan membuat pembaca senang membaca.

So the author will know how the relationship between the theme and plot of the novel.
