Untuk tujuan pembuatan bahan ajar terdapat empat hal pokok yang melingkupinya diantaranya:
1) Membantu siswa dalam mempelajari sesuatu.
2) Menyediakan berbagai jenis pilihan bahan ajar, sehingga mencegah timbulnya rasa bosan pada siswa.
3) Memudahkan siswa dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran.
4) Kegiatan pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik.
