Biakan mikroba disimpan dalam serum kuda yang ditempatkan dalam tabung gelas kecil atau ampul. Tabung ini ditempatkan di dalam tabung lain yang lebih besar berisi sedikit fosfopentaoksida (P2O5) dan disimpan pada suhu ruang atau di kulkas.
