Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Dina Pratiwi et al., 2013 dan Indri Sri Devi Br. Sembiring et al., 2013 menyatakan bahwa ekstrak daun bawang mekah memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang kuat yaitu sebesar 31,97437μg/mL dan 35,54680 μg/mL dengan vitamin C sebagai kontrol positif memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 3,90186 μg/ml dan 0,62147 μg/mL.

The results of research conducted by Dina Pratiwi et al., 2013 and Indri Sri Devi Br. Sembiring et al., 1995 stating that the extracts of green onion Mecca has a strong antioxidant activity, i.e. of 31,97437 μg/mL and 35.54680 μg/mL with vitamin C as positive control has a value of IC50 of 3.90186 μg/ml and 0.62147 μg/mL.
