Dalam era globalisasi dan teknologi ini, manusia memiliki ketergantugan yang tinggi dengan sistem komputer.Komputer telah banyak memberikan solusi, itu akan mempermudah pekerjaan kita, seperti sistem presensi yang memungkinkan kita bekerja lebih cepat dalam menjalankan presensi keanggotaan salah satunya pada Speed Strenght fitness.
Speed Strength Fitness merupakan salah satu usaha yang bergerak dalam bidang bisnis kebugaran tubuh.Pada Speed Strength Fitness ini terdapat suatu sistem presensi yang masih berjalan secara manual, dimana dalam penerapan sistem ini terdapat beberapa hal yang menjadi kendala, yaitu diantaranya adalah keefektifan dan efisiensi waktu dalam proses presensi dan bentuk laporan presensi yang masih berupa hardcopy yang dapat menyulitkan dalam proses pencarian data, dan kemungkinan terjadinya data presensi yang hilang.
Tujuan pembuatan sistem ini adalah mencoba untuk memberikan alterrnatif pemecahan masalah dengan membuat aplikasi sistem presensi yang akan mencatat data dan daftar kehadiran member yang akan dibuat secara terkomputerisasi dengan menggunakan Visual Basic dan 6.0 dan SQL Server 2000.
