Layout is one of the important factors of an operating activity. This research aims to analyse consumer interest comparison in choosing big market of Batu City and Lippo Plaza Batu (Layout approach). This type of research is a descriptive study, a method of researching the status of a group of people, an object, a set of conditions, a system of thought or an event class at present. The population in this study is the visitors of the big market Batu City and visitors Lippo Plaza Batu. While samples amounting to 100 people were taken from the population with criteria 17 years old and above; Have the habit of shopping in two markets, namely modern market and traditional market; Female gender. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. This research resulted that the layout has an influence on consumer interest in choosing shopping between the big market city of Batu with Lippo Plaza Batu to fulfill its needs.
