Preservasi atau penyimpanan mikroba

Preservasi atau penyimpanan mikroba bertujuan untuk (1) memelihara sebaik mungkin biakan,sehingga diperoleh angka perolehan (recovery) dan kehidupan (survival) yangtinggi dengan perubahan ciri-ciri yang minimum; (2) mereduksi atau mengurangi laju metabolisme dari mikroba hingga sekecil mungkin dengan tetapmempertahankan viabilitasnya. Beberapa teknik preservasi mikroba yang telah digunakan dapat menentukan ketahanan hidup dan stabilitas ciri-ciri genetik mikroba (Machmud, 2001).

Preservation or storage of microbial aims to (1) keep the culture as possible, so that the obtained number acquisition (recovery) and life (survival) yangtinggi with the changes to the minimum characteristics; (2) the reduction or decrease the rate of metabolism of microbes to as little as possible with the tetapmempertahankan viabilitasnya. Some techniques for better preservation of microbes that have been used can determine the survival and stability of microbial genetic traits (Machmud, 2001).
