Pentingnya siswa mengenal mata pelajaran lintas minat yang ditawarkan sekolah sebelum mereka memilih mata pelajaran yang ditawarkan, maka diharapkan pihak sekolah memberikan kegiatan perkenalam mata pelajaran melalui promosi lintas minat pada kegiatan awal masuk. Penelitian ini selain untuk mempersiapkan guru sosiologi dalam melaksanakan kurikulum 2013, juga untuk memberi masukan bagi pemangku kebijakan khususnya dinas pendidikan untuk membuat aturan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan lintas minat.
