Makna konseptual yaitu makna yang sesuai dengan konsepnya makna yang sesuai dengan referennya, dan makna yang bebas asosiasi atau hubungan apa pun. Makna konseptual disebut juga makna denotatif, makna referensial, makna leksikal.
Contoh : rumah memiliki makna konseptual bangunan tempat manusia tinggal.

The conceptual meaning have two types :
 generic meaning is the meaning of a broad conceptual, public, which include some of the conceptual meaning of special or general.
