Mengacu pada judul novel yaitu Dracula, penulis telah memutuskan bahwa tema dari keseluruhan isi novel tersebut yaitu mengenai pembasmian terhadap dracula. Terbukti bahwa tokoh Jonathan yang merupakan seorang pengacara telah merasakan bagaimana menjadi tawanan di kastil Dracula dan setelah berhasil kabur dari kastil itu Jonathan mengalami sakit parah sehingga dia trauma juga takut apabila bertemu dengan orang-orang yang mirip dengan Dracula. Selain Jonathan yang menjadi korban Dracula, Lucy dan ibunyapun menjadi korban Dracula, Lucy dan ibunya meninggal dunia, dan yang lebih mengharukan, Lucy menjadi vampire, sehingga dia memangsa anak kecil. Begitupun Mina, Van helsing, Arhtur dan tokoh lainnya membuat berbagai rencana juga bagaimana cara melenyapkan Dracula dari muka bumi ini. Akhirnya, mereka semua mampu melenyapkan Dracula yang membahayakn keselamatan orang-orang di London.
