Dalam bidang prosa terdapat penulis yang cukup besar, yaitu Sir Thomas Malory, karyanya yang terkenal adalah “Morte d’Arthur” . Prosa ini adalah sebuah romance yang menceritakan raja Arthur serta satria-satria nya. Karya prosa lainya yang sangat berpengaruh di kalangan rakyat adalah terjemahan kitab perjanjian baru yang dikerjakan oleh William Tyndale.
Drama
Pada periode ini muncul drama baru yang disebut “Moralities”. Morality mengajarkan tentang moral. Selain moralities, ada juga drama baru yang muncul pada zaman itu, yaitu “interludes”. Interlude adalah bentuk drama pendek yang tidak bersifat keagamaaan atau alegoris, tetapi semata-mata hanya untuk menghibur. Salah satu interlude yang terkenal adalah “Fulgens and Lucres” yang ditulis oleh Henry Medwall.
