Awal cerita yaitu seorang pengacara muda Inggris bernama Jonathan Harker ditugaskan untuk pergi ke kastil count drakula di Transylvenia guna menceritakan tanah dan bangunan yang akan di jual sekaligus di tempati oleh count drakula. sebelum sampai di kastil tersebut jonathan harker menginap terlebih dahulu di hotel Golden Krone atas perintah dari count dikarnakan jarak menuju kastil tersebut jauh. setelah siap pergi, Harker di tahan oleh seorang wanita tua karena malam itu bertepatan dengan malam St. George ( malam dimana semua roh jahat bebas berkeliaran ), namun Harker bersikeras untuk tetap pergi dan akhirnya wanita tua tersebut memberikan sebuah kalung salib (rosario bersalib). Setelah itu juga harker didoakan oleh semua orang di tempat tersebut demi keselamatan harker.
Setelah lama dalam perjalanan, sampailah Harker di kastil Count Drakula. Hal aneh mulai terjadi ketika Harker sedang mencukur jenggotnya tiba-tiba Count sudah berada di kamarnya dan membuat pisaunya melukai sedikit mukanya dan ketika count melihat darah tersebut dia langsung mencengkram Harker. Namun beruntung, dia mengenakan salib dan membuat count takut dan countpun berpura-pura menasehati Harker supaya berhati-hati. dan yang anehnya dia menghancurkan cermin, dia menganggap bahwa benda itu sebagai benda yang menjijikan..
Harker mulai merasa terpenjara, dia tidak bebas keluar karena pintu untuk keluar terkunci. Saat jenuh, Harker berjalan-jalan menelusuri kamar yang tidak terkunci, hingga suatu hari dia mencoba memasuki kamar Count melalui jendela dengan maksud ingin mencari kunci supaya dia bisa keluar. Akan tetapi dia tidak menemukan kunci tersebut alhasil dia menemukan sebuah pintu yang tidak terkunci menuju sebuah kamar bawah tanah ( seperti kuburan bawah tanah ), betapa kagetnya, dia menemukan Count terbujur kaku di dalam sebuah peti, Harker pun mencoba membunuhnya dengan sebuah skop namun gagal karena Count rupanya bisa menghindar dari hujaman skop.
Selama Jonathan Harker berada di kastil, Mina Murray sangat menghawatirkan keadaan Harker. Mina sering curhat dengan sahabatnya yaitu Lucy Westenra. Lucy adalah wanita yang sangat cantik. Didalam curhatnya, Mina menceritakan kekhawatirannya pada Harker dan sebaliknya, lucy menceritakan lelaki yang ingin menikahinya yaitu Arthur Holmwood ( Bangsawan ). Lucy yang cantik ini memiliki kebiasaan buruk yaitu tidur sambil berjalan sehingga menimbulkan kekhawatiran bagi keluarganya. Hingga suatu saat dia manjadi korban pertama Vampire, setelah peristiwa tersebut, kesehatan Lucy memburuk. tanda-tanda virus vampire mulai terlihat .
Dr. Seward yang selama itu merawatnya tidak bisa menyembuhkan Lucy karna penyakit yang diderita lucy itu aneh sehingga dia meminta bantuan gurunya yaitu Prof. Van Helsing untuk menanganinya. Setelah Van Helsing memeriksa keadaan Lucy, dia mencoba Mentranfusi darah untuk Lucy dan hasilnya keadaan lucy membaik. Namun setelah tranfusi tersebut berhenti Lucy kembali sakit. Lalu Van helsing menemukan dua bekas gigitan di lehernya dan selanjutnya dia mencoba menggunakan bawang putih sebagai penangkal penyakit tersebut. Van Helsing menimpulkan bahwa Lucy harus di penggal kepalanya dan di tusuk jantungnya karena dia telah berubah menjadi Vampir yang tidak memungkinkan untuk di sembuhkan. dengan hati yang berat Dr Seward, Arthur, kemudian membunuh lucy.
Dengan perasaan cemas, Mina bingung harus mencari Tunangannya ( Jonathan Harker ) kemana lalu diapun berhasil menemukan Harker di rumah sakit Budapest, seorang perawat yang bernama Agatha telah memberitahu Mina tentang keberadaan Jonathan. Selanjutnya Mina membawanya pulang dan mereka akhirnya menikah. Setelah jonathan kembali sehat, dia mulai menginvestigasi penyebaran peti yang berisi Drakula oleh Count.
Selanjutnya, Van Helsing memanfaatkan kemampuan mina untuk mengetahui kemana Count drakula akan menyebarkan Peti yang berisi mayat drakula tersebut. Lalu 6 orang yaitu Mina, Van helsing, Jonathan, dr Seward, Mr Morris dan Arthur pergi ke Varna namun rencana mereka diketahui terlebih dahului oleh Count. Count pun merubah tujuannya dari Varna menjadi ke Galatz. Van Helsing kemudian meminta Mina untuk menelusuri dengan keahliannya keberadaan Count. Mina pun berhasil menemukan Count. Dia berada di sungai Sereth menuju Bristriz. Count drakula melarikan diri menuju kastilnya lalu mereka pun mengejarnya. ditengah pertarungan yang sengit, Quancey Morris berhasil menusuk jantung Count dan Harker pun memenggal kepalanya. setelah itu Count pun mati. Namun, Quancey yang gagah berani tersebut mati. setelah itu, Harker dan Mina menjalani kehidupan dengan damai dan merekapun dikaruniai anak yang mereka beri nama Quancey. Arthur dan Dr Seward pun mendapatkan masing-masing wanita pujaannya mereka hidup bahagia.

Arthur and Dr. Seward also get each woman adored them live happily.
