Total radiasi matahari yang tepat di atas atmosfer bumi, diukur dalam bidang tegak lurus dengan sinar matahari dapat disebut dengan solar constant. Solar constant umumnya diterima dari ruang angkasa sekitar 1,3661 kW/m2. Radiasi matahari terdiri dari beberapa frekuensi, selain cahaya tampak. Spektrum surya luar angkasa disebut spektrum air mass nol (AM0) yang didefinisikan oleh standar ASTM E490. Spektrum AM0 ditunjukkan dalam gambar 3.

Total solar radiation just above the Earth's atmosphere, measured in a plane perpendicular to the sun can be called the solar constant. Solar constant generally accepted of space around 1.3661 kW / m2. Solar radiation is composed of multiple frequencies, in addition to visible light. Space solar spectrum is called the spectrum of the water mass zero (AM0) which is defined by the standard ASTM E490. AM0 spectrum is shown in Figure 3.

The outer space solar spectrum is called the Zero Mass Water spectrum (AM0) defined by the ASTM standard E490. The AM0 spectrum is shown in Figure 3.
