Citra Diri Seorang Disc Jockey dikalangan mahasiswa ini dilatarbelakangi fenomena setiap manusia memiliki langkah-langkah khusus dalam mempresentasikan dirinya kepada orang lain, apalagi jika kesempatan mempresentasikan diri ini berada pada konteks entertaint. Pada umumnya orang ingin menampilkan dirinya dengan baik dan mengesankan di hadapan orang lain. Gaya hidup dunia Malam yang telah mewabah ke dalam kehidupan para mahasiswa mendesak mereka untuk memenuhi gaya hidup kekinian dalam meningkatkan eksistensi diri (popularitas) demi mendapatkan sebuah pengakuan sosial. Beberapa mahasiswa dari berbagai Universitas di Bandung justru tertarik menjadi seorang penghibur dunia malam sebagai seorang Disc Jockey. Kontradiksi antara citra yang menyelimuti mahasiswa dan kegiatan berprofesi sebagai Disc Jockey menarik untuk dikaji lebih dalam dengan cara melihat faktor yang melatarbelakangi serta bagaimana cara mereka mengelola kesan baik dilingkungan sosial masyarakat dengan metode studi kasus.

In general, people want to show himself well and impress in front of others. Tonight the world lifestyle that has been endemic in the lives of students urging them to suit contemporary lifestyles in improving self-existence (popularity) to have a social recognition. Several students from various universities in Bandung actually interested in being an entertainer the world tonight as a Disc Jockey.
