Isu yang menjadi permasalahan utama

Isu yang menjadi permasalahan utama saat ini adalah global warming, yaitu kondisi dimana meningkatnya suhu rata-rata permukaan bumi. Menurut penelitian yang dilakukan oleh UNEP (2007), bangunan merupakan aspek penyebab gas rumah kaca terbesar (48%). Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan salah satu prinsip green architecture dimana dapat dicapai dengan menerapkan konsep 3R pada bangunan. Studi kasus yang diambil pada penelitian ini merupakan isu nyata yang menerapkan salah satu konsep 3R yaitu Re-use atau Adaptive Reuse. Konsep tersebut di terapkan pada bangunan kafetaria Dapoer-nya Paberik dengan menggunakan kembali potensi dari bangunan pabrik yang merupakan fungsi bangunan sebelumnya. Kedua fungsi yang berbeda ini mengakibatkan adanya transformasi dan penyesuaian atau adaptasi pada bangunan tersebut.

The issue that the main problem today is global warming, a condition in which the rising average temperature of the earth's surface. According to research conducted by UNEP (2007), the building is an aspect of the biggest causes of greenhouse gases (48%). The solution to these problems is to apply one of the principles of green architecture which can be achieved by implementing the 3R concept of the building. The case studies are taken in this study is a real issue that implements the 3R concept that one or Adaptive Reuse Reuse. The concept was applied in the building cafeteria Dapoer its mills with reuse potential of the factory building which is a function of the previous building. Both have different functions and adjustments resulting transformation or adaptation in the building.

The case study taken on this research was a real issue implementing one of the 3R concepts of Re-use or Adaptive Reuse. The concept was applied to the café building of the Dapoer Paberik by reusing the potential of the factory building which was a function of the previous building. These two different functions resulted in the transformation and adjustments or adaptations to the building.
