ABSTRAK

Imunisasi polio merupakan imunisasi yang diberikan untuk mendapatkan kekebalan terhadap virus poliomyelitis. Virus poliomyelitis dapat menyerang system saraf pusat sehingga dapat menyebabkan kelumpuhan. Tujuan dari penulisan karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan ibu balita mengenai teknis pelaksanaan imunisasi polio. Pengetahuan mengenai teknis cara, waktu, usia pemberian imunisasi polio dan manfaat imunisasi polio pada balita. Dengan mengetahui teknis pelaksanaan imunisasi polio, Pengetahuan mengenai teknis cara, waktu, usia serta manfaat pemberian imunisasi polio pada balita, maka ibu dapat terdorong agar segera melakukan imunisasi dan balita dapat terhindar dari penyakit polio yaitu penyakit yang dapat menyebabkan kelumpuhan.
