Wali Kota Semarang, Hendrar Prihadi, mengatakan sekitar 17 ribu PNS di Kota Semarang diarahkan agar memakai gas non subsidi yaitu Bright Gas karena menurut dia PNS adalah bukan termasuk golongan masyarakat miskin yang harus mendapat subsidi gas 3kg karena gaji dan tunjangan mereka sudah cukup.
“Kita sudah hitung dari gaji dan tunjangan para PNS, mereka sudah memiliki gaji diatas UMK semua. Teman- teman PNS ini adalah warga yang mampu, dan bukan termasuk warga miskin, jadi hari ini kita arahkan mereka untuk komitmen tidak menggunakan gas subsidi karena itu hak warga miskin,” Kata Hendrar.
