Niko telah melakukan pengeboran sumur eksplorasi Elang-1 di Wilayah Kerja Cendrawasih yang merupakan bagian dari Komitmen Pasti. Tajak Elang-1 dilaksanakan pada 29 Juni 2013.
Target pengeboran di sumur Elang-1 adalah carbonate Mid Miocene, hasil pengeboran sumur eksplorasi Elang-1 adalah dry hole karena kualitas reservoarnya jelek dan lack of charging. Sumur Elang-1 merupakan valid test untuk reservoar carbonate Mid Miocene. Tetapi potensi eksplorasi pada lapisan reservoar Plio-Pleistocene belum sepenuhnya ditest.

Niko has to drill exploration wells in the Eagle-1 Work Areas of Paradise which is part of the commitment Definitely. Trowel Eagle-1 was conducted on June 29, 2013.
Target drilling in the Eagle-1 well is the Mid Miocene carbonate, results of exploration drilling Eagle-1 is a dry hole because reservoarnya bad quality and lack of charging. Eagle-1 well is a valid test for the Mid Miocene carbonate reservoir. But the exploration potential of the reservoir layer Plio-Pleistocene has not been fully tested.
