The absence of a rnenghambat collection of our knowledge about the number of species found in the marine environment (Grassle, 2001), which seems to be the biggest fortress of biodiversity. New animal phylum, Loricifera, first described in 1983 based on specimens from the sea within (Kristensen 1983). Other new phylum, cioliophora was first described in 1995 based on creatures small ciliated (= hairy shakes) which is found at the mouth of the prawn Norway {Image 1.10; Funch and Kristensen in 1995). In 1999, the world's largest bacteria found off the coast of Namibia, with a cellmate of eye-sized fruit flies (Schulz et al. 1999). No doubt there are still many species of marine life (and maybe even a new kingdom and phylum] that can still be found.
