There are two main types of 13C-NMR spectra. Type 13C-NMR spectrum of the off resonance and spectral type-proton decoupling 13C. The first type, 13C-NMR spectrum of the off resonance, in this type of interaction between adjacent carbon ignored, but the carbon can interact with protons are bound by the respective carbon causes spliting which shows peaks (n + 1), n = number of H , therefore the signal of each carbon of:
1. carbon methyl (CH3-C) will appear 4 peak
2. carbon methylene (-CH2-) will appear three peaks
3. methyl carbon (-CH-) will appear 2 peak
4. quaternary carbon (-C-) will appear first peak
