Sejak dikembangkan sebagai daerah tujuan wisata, telah banyak wisatawan yang datang berkunjung, baik wisatawan yang berasal dari dalam negeri maupun manca negara. Cukup tingginya aktivitas wisata dan telah berkembang selama hampir empat belas tahun, dipandang perlu dilakukan suatu kajian terhadap pengelolaan ekowisata bahari tersebut. Kajian ini dimaksudkan agar dapat diketahui tingkat optimal dari pengelolaan kegiatan ekowisata, sehingga kelestarian sumber daya alam di kawasan ini dapat terus mendukung aktivitas wisata dan mampu memberikan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.

Since it was developed as a tourist destination, has many tourists that come to visit, tourists who come from both within the country and abroad. Fairly high activity tourism and has evolved for nearly fourteen years, is seen to be done a study of the management of the marine ecotourism. This study was intended to be the optimal level of ecotourism activities, so that the management of the conservation of natural resources in the region can continue to support tourism activities and able to provide welfare for the society in a sustainable way.
