Imobilisasi dengan manik-manik dila

Imobilisasi dengan manik-manik dilakukan dengan menginokulasikan suspensi mikroba kedalam tabung yang berisi manik-manik steril. Setelah dikocok sisa cairan dibuang (dipipet secara aseptik). Pengocokan dilakukan supaya sel-sel mikroba dalam suspensi dapat melekat dan terperangkap pada matriks manik-manik, baik bagian luar maupun bagian dalam. Sehingga sel-sel mikroba tidak ikut terbuang saat cairan sisa kultur dikeluarkan. Kemudian manik-manik tersebut disimpan pada kondisi dingin dan beku.
