Belum puas dengan usaha-usaha mereka, Kurawa ingin mencelakakan Pandawa kembali lewat siasat licik Sengkuni, kali ini Para Pandawa diundang untuk datang dalam acara penyerahan kekuasaan Amarta dan diberi suatu pesanggrahan yang terbuat dari kayu yang bernama Bale Sigala-gala. Acara penyerahan tersebut dilaksanakan hingga larut malam dan para Pandawa kembali dibuat mabuk, setelah para Pandawa tertidur, hanya Bima yang masih terbangun karena Bima menolak untuk ikut minum-minuman keras. Pada tengah malam, para Kurawa yang mengira Pandawa telah tidur mulai membakar pesanggrahan. Sebelumnya, Arjuna memperbolehkan enam orang pengemis untuk tidur dan makan di dalam pesanggrahan karena merasa kasihan. Saat kebakaran terjadi, Bima langsung menggendong ibu, kakak, dan adik-adiknya ke dalam terowongan yang telah dibuat oleh Yamawidura, yang mengetahui akal licik Kurawa. Namun Adik dari Prabu Arimba bukannya benci tetapi malah menaruh hati pada Werkudara, sebelum mati Prabu Arimba menitipkan adiknya Dewi Arimbi kepada Werkudara. Werkudara menolak cintanya. Lalu Dewi Kunti yang melihat ketulusan cinta dari Dewi Arimbi, bersabda, “Wah, cantiknya, anak ini!”. Tiba-tiba, Dewi Arimbi yang buruk rupa itu menjadi cantik dan lalu dijadikan istri oleh Bima.
