Manfaat dari adanya tradisi perang tomat, salah satunya adalah dapat dijadikan sebagai ajang silaturahmi rutin setahun sekali bagi masyarakat Cikidang, khususnya Cikareumbi. Dengan adanya perang tomat sebagai salah satu rangkaian ruwatan lembur, membuat masyarakat Cikareumbi yang pada rutinitas sehari-harinya sibuk di ladang, meluangkan waktu untuk silaturahmi, berkumpul dengan seluruh anggota masyarakat maupun aparat desa. Serta manfaat lainnya adalah menjadikan Cikareumbi sebagai daya tarik wisata bagi masyarakat umum. Mengenalkan produk-produk hasil pertanian yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat kampung Cikareumbi. Perang tomat yang telah dilaksanakan selama empat tahun tersebut dapat menarik animo masyarakat yang tinggi, karena memiliki keunikan tersendiri. Kunjungan dari masyarakat umum ke acara perang tomat, memiliki efek positif dalam hal mengembangkan dan menghidupkan ekonomi mikro yang dimiliki masyarakat asli Cikareumbi, bahkan mampu menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan baru.
