Seiring dengan peningkatan metode spektroskopi, kini telah didapatkan metode dua spektrum dimensi yang dapat digunakan sebagai keterangan tambahan dalam penentuan senyawa murni. Dalam eksperimen dua dimensi, sumbu x dan y memiliki nilai pergeseran kimia dan spektrum 2D diplot sebagai grid seperti peta. Informasi diperoleh dari spektra dengan melihat puncak dalam grid dan mencocokannya dengan sumbu x dan y.

Information obtained from spectra and by looking at the top of the grid and certain it would withstand the x and y axes.
