Dulu, di kawasan Desa Sayang Caak (Sarang Gagak) terdapat pipa-pipa aliran air yang tersambung hingga Jalan Sersan Bajuri. Alasan itulah yang kemudian membuat warga menamakan kawasan tersebut dengan nama Ledeng.

Hal itu dikemukakan seorang warga setempat bernama Harun (72). Desa Sayang Caak berada dekat kawasan Terminal Ledeng. Disebut Sayang Caak karena banyak pohon-pohon beringin yang dijadikan sarang burung gagak.

\"Dulu di Desa Sayang Caak ada pipa-pipa besar untuk aliran air,\" tutur Harun. Menurut Harun kemungkinan pipa itu sudah dibangun di zaman Belanda karena ketika dirinya lahir di tahun 1938 pipa-pipa tersebut sudah ada.

Menurut Harun pipa-pipa besar itu dipasang hingga ke Jalan Sersan Bajuri. Kala itu karena jalan masih tertutup tanah, kendaraan tidak diperbolehkan melintas. \"Dulu mobil tidak boleh lewat takut pipanya meledak,\" jelas Harun.

Tapi setelah Jalan Sersan Bajuri di hot mix dan dijadikan jalan alternatif maka kendaraan pun bebas untuk melintas. Menghubungkan antara Ledeng, Parongpong dan Cikalong Wetan. Meski begitu hingga saat ini kawasan tersebut tetap dikenal dengan nama Ledeng.

Kawasan Ledeng merupakan daerah perlintasan yang menghubungkan Bandung, dari Jalan Setiabudhi menuju Kabupaten Bandung Barat yaitu Lembang dan wilayah Parongpong.

Kawasan Jalan Setiabudhi, Lembang maupun Parongpong merupakan kawasan yang sering dituju oleh wisatawan. Banyak tempat wisata terutama wisata alam di Lembang dan Parongpong yang bisa dikunjungi wisatawan.

Misalnya di Jalan Setiabudhi, sudah disuguhi dengan kawasan wisata belanja kuliner dan FO seperti Rumah Mode disusul sederetan wisata lainnya yang didominasi dengan wisata kuliner seperti Suis Butcher, Serabi Enhaii atau Serabi Imut, Cafe Dd Chocolate, Kampung Bakso, Rumah Sosis dan lain-lain.

Di kawasan Lembang menyambut pasar kelinci hias, kuliner dari kelinci seperti sate, jagung dan ketan bakar, Kawasan Wisata Tangkuban Parahu, Tahu Lembang, The Ranch, dan lain-lain.

Sedangkan di kawasan Parongpong ada Taman Bunga Cihideung, Fantasia, Kampung Daun, Sapu Lidi, wisata alam Nature Hill, wisata brokoli petik sendiri dan lain-lain.
