Referendum Brexit adalah pengambilan suara dari seluruh warga Inggris Raya yaitu Inggris, Irlandia Utara, Skotlandia dan Wales untuk memutuskan haruskah Inggris keluar dari Uni Eropa, atau tetap berada di Uni Eropa. Referendum sejenis juga pernah dilakukan pada tahun 1975, dua tahun setelah Inggris diterima menjadi anggota Uni Eropa dengan hasil 67% setuju Inggris masuk Uni Eropa. Pada tahun 2015, Perdana Menteri Inggris David Cameron mengemukakan kalau dia akan mengadakan referendum terhadap Uni Eropa kembali, jika dia terpilih menjadi perdana menteri. Brexit dipicu oleh isu-isu yang merongrong Inggris menurut para rakyatnya seperti kedaulatan Inggris terlalu dikontrol oleh Uni Eropa, kewajiban penggunaan Euro sementara Pounds masih kuat, jatuhnya nilai mata uang pasca krisis 2008, kasus rasial dan imigran Suriah.
