Proses pelaksanaan dalam upacara ritual ruwatan lembur meliputi tiga proses inti yang terdapat didalamnya, yaitu ngaruwat, ngaruwat, dan menghilangkan ruruwet. Proses ngaruwat yaitu proses pembersihan, serta pemeliharaan yang dilakukan oleh seluruh masyarakat kampung Cikareumbi yang turut serta dalam prosesi ritual ruwatan lembur.proses ngaruwat merupakan proses awal dalam rangkaian prosesi ritual ruwatan lembur.
