Senyawa yang telah dilaporkan memiliki efek allelopati yaitu senyawa kelompok sesquiterpen diantaranya deoxymikanolide, dihydromikanolide, dan mikamicranolide yang diisolasi dari M. micrantha dan M. cordata (Huang et al., 2009). Mengingat Mikania ini mudah tumbuh, dengan dijadikannya sebagai herbisida, hal ini dapat mengendalikan gulma itu sendiri dan untuk mengendalikan gulma yang lain. Untuk mengkaji lebih lanjut senyawa yang berperan sebagai bioherbisida, maka perlu dilakukan uji potensi alelopati gulma Mikania yang dapat menghambat perkecambahan tanaman uji yaitu terhadap biji kacang hijau (Vigna radiata) dan biji padi (Oriza sativa). Oleh sebab itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh alelopati Mikania terhadap perkecambahan dan pertumbuhan tanaman uji, serta melengkapi propil senyawa yang berperan sebagai alelopati

Compounds that have been reported to have allelopati effects of compounds such as deoxymikanolide, sesquiterpen groups dihydromikanolide and mikamicranolide isolated from m. micrantha and m. cordata (Huang et al., 2009). Therefore the aim of this research is to know the effects of Allelopathy of Mikania germination and plant growth test, as well as complement the propyl compound that serves as Allelopathy
