kekejaman adalah salah satu sifat yang terjadi dalam cerita ini. kekejaman terjadi kepada semua orang yang telah menjadi korban Dracula. didalam cerita, Dracula datang kepada korbannya berkali-kali, Dracula tidak langsung membunuh korbannya, akan tetapi Dracula membunuh korbannya secara perlahan dengan meninggalkan bekas gigitan di leher dan dengan perlahan racun akan menyebar kesuluruh tubuh korban. seperti halnya Lucy, awalnya dia merasakan badannya lemas, wajah nya pucat, Lucy sering tidur sambil berjalan, Lucy dibunuh secara perlahan oleh Dracula, hingga akhirnya Lucy menjadi vampir yang sangat berbahaya bagi semua orang terutama anak kecil.
selain Lucy, Dracula juga telah membunuh Renfield, setelah Dracula memperalat Renfield dan Dracula memanfaatkan kegilaan Renfield. hanya satu orang yang selamat dari Dracula yaitu Mina, Dracula mencoba untuk membunuh Mina, akan tetapi Dracula tidak berhasil karena Prof. Van Helsing dan teman-temannya terlebih dahulu membunuh Dracula.
