Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pajak bagi pembiayaan daerah peningkatan keuangan daerah. Untuk mencapai tujuan yang dimaksud, maka pemerintah melakukan berbagai macam usaha. Salah satu cara yang dilakukan oleh Kecamatan Bukit Kecil Kota Palembang yaitu dengan melakukan efektivitas pemungutan pajak untuk menambah pendapatan daerah. Dengan dilakukannya efektivitas pemungutan pajak, maka Kecamatan Bukit Kecil Kota Palembang mengharapkan realisasi pajak dapat lebih efektif dan mencapai target yang sudah ditetapkan sebelumnya
