L.PenutupManajemen risiko menuntut tidak hanya keterlibatan pihak manajemen tetapi juga komitmen manajemen dan seluruh pihak yang terkait. Bahaya sebagai sumber kecelakaan kerja harus segera teridentifikasi, kemudian diadakan perhitungan dan prioritas terhadap risiko dari bahaya tersebut dan terakhir adalah pengontrolan risiko. Ditahap pengontrolan risiko, peran manajemen sangat penting karena pengontrolan risiko membutuhkan ketersediaan semua sumber daya yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan, karena pihak manajemen yang sanggup memenuhi ketersediaan ini. Semua konsep-konsep utama tersebut semakin menyadarkan akan pentingnya kebutuhan pengelolaan K3 dalam bentuk manajemen yang sistematis dan mendasar agar dapat terintegrasi dengan manajemen perusahaan yang lain. Integrasi ini diawali dengan kebijakan dari perusahaan untuk mengelola K3 menerapkan suatu Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (SMK3).
