Kawasan Budaya Sindang Barang merupakan salah satu tempat yang menjadi tujuan wisata khususnya wisata budaya. Berkembangnya kegiatan pariwisata di Kawasan budaya Sindang Barang membawa berbagai dampak terutama pada kesejahteraan masyarakat di sekitar kawasan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak kegiatan pariwisata di kawasan kampung budaya sindang barang terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat yang diidentifikasi dari beberapa indikator seperti pendapatan, kesehatan, dan peluang kerja. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode wawancara dengan panduan quesioner. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kualitatif terhadap beberapa masyarakat baik yang bekerja atau terlibat dalam pengelolaan pariwisata maupun terhadap masyarakat yang bermukim di sekitar kawasan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan kawasan kampung budaya sindang barang memberikan lebih banyak dampak positif dalam meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, meningkatkan pembangunan desa, menambah wawasan budaya dengan adanya kegiatan adat yang rutin, serta pelatihan kesenian seperti tari dan ilmu bela diri secara gratis. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian masyarakat disekitar kawasan budaya Sindang Barang telah cukup sejahtera. Kawasan kampung budaya Sindang Barang ingin merubah paradigma wisata yang kental dengan animisme menjadi pariwisata yang berkontribusi tinggi untuk pengetahuan budaya. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat dijadikan pertimbangan oleh pihak pengelola dalam pengambilan keputusan dalam strategi pengembangan wisata berbasis kelestarian budaya.
