The manuscript is the most important part in the staging Ketoprak. The manuscript was written by pouring thoughts and creativity of thought. As well as writing the manuscript done by the students. Until recently, not many students who know about the process of writing the script Ketoprak. students know only staging Ketoprak and play Ketoprak and not the process of writing the script Ketoprak. This study uses an objective approach that focuses on the creative process of writing Ketoprak students. Data taken from the creative process of writing the script Ketoprak students of the Department of Language and Literature of Java, Semarang State University, which plays Tresna Sinanggit by Kumara Sajati Ketoprak group, Kalinyamat by Padma Langen group, and Dual Asmara by Abhinaya Nitia Ketoprak group. Data taken with the observation method nonparticipant and analyzed with descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. Based on data collected and analyzed the creative process of writing the script Ketoprak students there are five stages of writing, namely (a) prapenulisan or preparation, (b) the incubation phase, (c) the stage of illumination, (d) the verification stage, and (e) the stage of publication , Script writing is done collectively by a group of students Ketoprak. After this study, is expected to have advanced research related to the creative process of writing the script Ketoprak students.
