10) Penyimpanan dengan Teknik Pengeringan Cairan
Beberapa strain bakteri yang peka terhadap proses kering beku dapat disimpan dengan cara pengeringan suspensi (liquid drying) mikroba. Teknik ini dikembangkan oleh Annear pada tahun 1954, 1956, dan 1962 (Sly, 1983) dan berhasil digunakan untuk menyimpan bakteri, khamir, jamur, dan virus. Teknik ini dimodifikasi oleh Banno dan Sakane (1979). Keefektifan teknik ini untuk penyimpanan khamir dibuktikan oleh Banno et al. (1979).
