Lingkungan kerja merupakan salah satu faktor atau aspek penting dalam menciptakan hubungan yang baik antara pekerja dan perusahaan, dan lingukungan kerja juga sangat berampak pada produktivitas dan kepuasan kerja dari seorang karyawan. Menurut Supardi (2008) dalam Handaru et al. (2013) mendefinisikan lingkungan kerja adalah keadaan sekitar tempat kerja, baik secara fisik maupun non fisik, yang dapat memberikan kesan yang menyenangkan, mengamankan, menentramkan dan betah kerja. Handaru et al. (2013) menyatakan lingkungan kerja adalah segala sesuatu yang ada disekitar para pekerja baik secara fisik atau non fisik yang mempengaruhi tugas-tugas yang dibebankan dan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif akan mendorong dan meningkatkan gairah kerja karyawan sehingga kepuasan kerja karyawan diperoleh. Menurut Simamora (2000) dalam Husein dan Hady (2012) faktor-faktor pada dasarnya dapat dibedakan menjadi dua antara lain 1) Lingkungan Fisik atau tempat kerja : ventilasi, penerangan, tata letak dan peralatan; 2) Kondisi Psikososial atau perlakuan yang diterima : tempat kerja yang memudahkan interaksi sosial yang tercipta tersebut dapat berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi kerja.

(1995) States the working environment is everything that exists around the workers both physically or non physical affects the duties charged and a conducive work environment will encourage and enhance employee passion so that employee satisfaction is obtained. According to Simamora (2000) in Husein and Hady (2012) factors basically can be distinguished into two among others 1) physical environment or workplace: ventilation, lighting, layout and equipment; 2) Psychosocial Condition or treatment that is accepted: the workplace which facilitates social interaction created a positive effect towards the accomplishment of work.
