Umroh sebagai wisata religi merupakan ibadah yang istimewa. Karena ibadah umroh memang bukan sembarang ibadah. umroh menjadi ibadah istimewa karena hanya bisa dilakukan oleh orang yang mampu. Orang yang hendak umroh harus mampu secara finansial, fisik maupun mental. Ibadah umroh juga merupakan pilar (Rukun) Islam, berkaitan dengan haji. Orang yang mengaku islam tulen, belum dikatakan sempurna islamnya sebelum melaksanakan haji. Namun bukan berarti semua yang belum berhaji bisa dikatakan belum sempurna islamnya.
