Semakin tinggi motivasi seseorang akan semakin baik intensitas belajarnya. Akan tetapi, kuat lemahnya motivasi setiap orang berbeda, hal itu dipengaruhi oleh faktor atau unsur cita-cita/aspirasi, kemampuan belajar, kondisi siswa, kondisi lingkungan siswa. Hasil dari Studi pendahuluan dilakukan pada 15 mahasiswa DIV reguler bidan pendidik menunjukkan bahwa 305% mahasiswa yang menceritakan kebiasaan belajar mereka, dan menyatakan rutin belajar sebelum dan sesudah proses perkuliahan, dan 70% mahasiswa menyatakan jarang belajar, mereka hanya belajar pada saat menjelang ujian, yaitu pada malam hari sebelum ujian dilaksanakan.
