Pekanbaru, Jia Xiang - Harga tandan buah segar (TBS) kelapa sawit di Riau periode 26 Februari hingga 4 Maret 2014 umur sepuluh tahun ke atas tercatat Rp2.055,57 per kg atau naik Rp35,98 dari harga seminggu sebelumnya yang tercatat Rp2.019,59 per kg.

"Kenaikan harga TBS kelapa sawit Riau tersebut dipicu oleh turunnya produksi sawit dalam beberapa bulan terakhir sementara permintaan meningkat," kata Kepala Dinas Perkebunan Riau, Zulher di Pekanbaru, Rabu (26/2/14).

Ia mengatakan hal itu terkait sejumlah perusahaan yang telah memasukkan data yaitu PTPN V, PT Musim Mas, PT Asian Agri, PT Tasmapuja dan PT Astra Agro Lestari serta PT Citra Riau Sarana.

Menurut dia, sebagaimana dilansir Antara, turunnya produksi sawit akan dialami hampir seluruh perusahaan perkebunan maupun kebun masyarakat yang diperkirakan akan terjadi beberapa bulan ke depan sehingga mendongkrak serapan buah yang diterima oleh Pabrik Kelapa Sawit (PKS) meningkat sekaligus meningkatkan harga jual.

Ia memperkirakan harga TBS kelapa sawit Riau akan terus naik dalam beberapa bulan ke depan namun untuk mengatasi turunnya produksi TBS CPO tidak dapat diatasi segera karena sudah menjadi siklus tanaman kelapa sawit.

"Tanaman kelapa sawit itu ada produksinya turun dan ada produksinya naik sesuai musimnya," katanya.

Ia memandang bahwa secara teknis petani dapat meningkatkan produksi antara lain dengan memperbaiki kualitas pengelolaan kebun seperti menjaga pemupukan dan pemanenan yang sesuai dengan anjuran.

Tim harga mencatat bahwa harga TBS untuk umur tiga tahun tercatat sebesar Rp1.471,32 per kg, umur empat tahun Rp1.643,12 per kg, umur lima tahun Rp1.758,30 per kg, umur enam tahun seharga Rp1.809,93 per kg, umur tujuh tahun sebesar Rp1.879,04 per kg, umur delapan tahun sebesar Rp1.937,61 per kg, umur sembilan tahun sebesar Rp1.999,77 per kg, dan untuk umur 10 tahun ke atas Rp2.055,57 per kg.

Sedangkan untuk palm kernel oil (PKO) adalah sebesar Rp6.260,61 per kg dan CPO dengan harga Rp9.141,90 per kg, dengan indeks K sebesar 88,65 persen. [W5]
