This study aims to determine how much of Escherichia coli found in chicken meat in the traditional markets of West Surabaya. This research was conducted with the purchase of a total of 12 samples of chicken meat chicken thigh meat samples, taken at random from the three markets (Market Hamlet Kupang, Simo and Market Market Ferns) with each of the markets as much as 4 samples of chicken thighs and tested against a number of Escherichia coli with the Most Probable Number method using Green Bile Broth media Brillian, eosin methylene blue Agar, Peptone Water 1% and Reagents Kovach.
