Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa banyak Eschericia coli yang terdapat pada daging ayam yang ada di pasar tradisional Surabaya Barat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pembelian sampel daging ayam sebanyak 12 sampel daging ayam bagian paha, yang diambil secara random dari tiga pasar (Pasar Dukuh Kupang, Pasar Simo dan Pasar Pakis) dengan masing-masing pasar sebanyak 4 sampel daging ayam bagian paha dan diuji terhadap jumlah Eschericia coli dengan metode Most Probable Number menggunakan media Brillian Green Bile Broth, Eosin Methylen Blue Agar, Pepton Water 1% dan Reagen Kovach.

This research aims to find out how much Eschericia coli on chicken meat in traditional market West of Surabaya.
