Sesampainya di samudra luas, Bima kembali diserang oleh seekor naga bernama Naga Nemburnawa dengan kuku pancanakanya, lalu Bima membunuh naga tersebut, setelah itu Bima hanya terdiam di atas samudra. Di sini lah ia bertemu dengan dewanya yang sejati, Dewaruci. Kemudian Bima disuruh oleh Dewaruci untuk masuk kedalam lubang telinga dewa kerdil itu. Lalu Bima masuk dan mendapat wejangan tentang makna kehidupan. Ia juga melihat suatu daerah yang damai, aman, dan tenteram. Setelah itu Bima menjadi seorang pendeta bergelar Begawan Bima Suci dan mengajarkan apa yang telah ia peroleh dari Dewaruci.
