Penilaian konektivitas dalam penelitian ini akan direpresentasikan dengan matriks khusus berupa matriks bujur sangkar yang penyebutan nomor sel pada sisi atas dan sisi samping kiri. Koordinat sel merupakan nomor simpul. Dalam pemodelan sistem jaringan jalan diperlukan simpul tambahan atau simpul bantu yang dapat berupa simpul persimpangan, simpul bantu titik belok geometri dan simpul bantu yang lain sesuai keperluan
