Wajib umrah ini adalah ketentuan yang bila mana dilanggar maka ibadah umrah tetap sah tetapi harus membayar dam, yaitu menyembelih seekor kambing, atau jika tidak mampu maka berpuasa 10 (sepuluh) hari yaitu 3 (tiga) hari semasa di tanah suci dan 7 (tujuh) hari dilakukan di tanah air (Q.S : al-Baqarah : 196). 1)
