Secara umum peran organisasi profes

Secara umum peran organisasi profesi ada tiga peran, yaitu menjamin kompetensi profesional anggota profesi; mengawasi kegiatan dan tingkah laku para anggota profesi dengan menyusun kode etik; dan meningkatkan mutu dan status profesi dengan mengadakan berbagai kegiatan organisasi. Menurut saya kedua organisasi tersebut (CONSAL dan IFLA) telah berkontribusi mengembangkan kemampuan anggotanya, seperti CONSAL yang melaksanakan kongres ke 12 di Bruei Darussalam dengan tema “Information resources empowerment: enhancing knowledge heritage” yang berrtujuan untuk mengembangkan anggota profesi. Kontribusi IFLA juga tidak kalah penting di dunia perpustakaan, contribution of IFLA is in the development of standards that can then be adopted by librarians all over the world, IFLA is increasing the participation of librarians from developing countries and is becoming more democratic and taking steps to become a totally global organization.

In general the role of the Organization of the profession there are three roles, namely the guarantee of professional competence of members of the profession; supervise the activities and behaviour of members of the profession by making the code of conduct; and improving the quality and status of the profession by holding various activities of the organization. In my opinion both of these organizations (CONSAL and IFLA) has contributed to developing the capacity of its members, like the Congress to implement the CONSAL 12 on Bruei Darussalam with the theme of "Information resources empowerment: enhancing knowledge heritage" which berrtujuan to develop members of the profession. IFLA also contributed no less important in the world, the contribution of IFLA's library is in the development of standards that can then be adopted by librarians all over the world, IFLA is increasing the participation partnerships of librarians from developing countries and is becoming more democratic and taking steps to become a totally global organization.
