Hari ini adalah masa lalu bagi masa yang akan datang. Begitu juga dengan masa yang akan datang akan menjadi masa lalu bagi masa yang akan datangnya lagi. Semuanya berjalan begitu cepat. Tak heran kiranya, bila kita hanya berpangku tangan dan tidak berbuat sesuatu, kita akan ditinggalkan oleh waktu yang terus berlari kencang di hadapan kita.
Masa yang sudah berlalu adalah masa yang tidak akan mungkin kembali dan tak akan pernah kembali lagi. Maka kita sebagai pelaku peristiwa dituntut untuk bersikap arif dan belajar memperbaiki apa yang sudah pernah kita lakukan pada masa lalu. Agar peristiwa pahit atau perbuatan salah yang pernah kita lakukan di masa lalu itu tidak akan pernah terjadi lagi pada masa-masa selanjutnya.
