Untuk menghindari hal tersebut, perlu diperhatikan bahwa pada waktu menuangkan media agar ke dalam cawan petri harus diusahakan tebal media di dalam cawan petri merata.
Pada percobaan ini digunakan 2 bakteri, yaitu Escherichia coli dan Serratia marcescens.
