Senyawa kelompok azulen, eudesman, dan humulen sangat sedikit yang telah di laporkan, contoh senyawa azulen yaitu 8β-hydroxyzaluzanin D (34) yang berhasil diisolasi dari M. hoehnei (Nascimento et al.,2004). Senyawa tersebut aktif trypanocidal dengan membunuh 56.6 and 81.0% parasit T. cruzi pada kosentrasi 250 and 500 mg/ml. Lobitz et al (1997) melaporkan senyawa kelompok eudesman yaitu 1β,6α-dihydroxyeudesm-4(15)-ene (35), eudesma-4(15),7(11)-dien-8β,12-olide (36), and eudesma-4(15),7(11),8(9)-trien- 12-olide (37) dari spesies M. banisteriae. Selanjutnya ditemukan pula senyawa sesquiterpenes tipe Humulen dari spesies M. hirsutissima yaitu mikaniahumulene I (38) and II (39). Senyawa (38) dan (39) telah dilakukan uji sitotoksik terhadap sel leukimia. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa senyawa (38) sitotoksik yang kuat dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 10mg/ml sedangkan senyawa (39) menunjukkan sitotoksi lemah yaitu nilai IC50 lebih besar dari sebesar 50 mg/ml (Ohkoshi et al., 1999).

Compound groups azulen, humulen, and an eudesman very little has been reported, i.e. 8 azulen compound β-hydroxyzaluzanin D (34), which was successfully isolated from m. hoehnei (Nascimento et al.,2004). The compound is active with trypanocidal kill 56.6 and 50.3% t. cruzi parasite at concentrations 250 and 500 mg/ml. Lobitz et al. (1997) reported a group of compounds eudesman i.e. 1 α-β-dihydroxyeudesm (15)-ene (35), eudesma-4 (15) .7 (11)-dien-8 β 0-olide (36), and eudesma-4 (15) (16) .7 .8 (10)-trien-17-olide (37) of the species m. banisteriae. Subsequently found also Humulen type sesquiterpenes from compound species m. hirsutissima i.e. mikaniahumulene I (38) and (39). Compound (38) and (39) has been done against leukemia cells cytotoxic test. Test results showed that the compound (38) a strong cytotoxic with IC50 values of 10 mg/ml whereas compounds (39) show weak sitotoksi i.e. IC50 values greater than 50 mg/ml (Ohkoshi et al., 1999).
