Bajra Sandhi Museum or better known as Bajra Sandhi Monument is a monument that symbolizes the struggle of the Balinese people located in Renon, Denpasar Bali. The monument occupies a land of 13.8 hectares with an area of 4900 meters building was designed by Ir. Ida Gede in 1981. Construction of the monument began in 1987 on the initiative of former governor of Bali, Ida Bagus Mantra. On June 14, 2003, a new monument was inaugurated by President Megawati Sukarno Putri.<br>The history of Bajra Sandhi Museum has traditional Balinese architecture. Its construction is full of Hindu philosophy. The word Bajra itself has a sense of genta. Hindu priests often use Genta when pronouncing spells in religious ceremonies. In addition, Hindu elements in the monument are:<br> Amertha jar, symbolized by Kumbha (a kind of pot) that can be seen at the top of the monument<br> Basuki's dragon tail, manifested near Swamba and his head at Kori Agung<br> Bedawang Akupa body created on the basis of the monument, his head on Kori Agung<br> Well-established Mount Mendara Giri with towering monument<br> The pond that surrounds the monument, is an example of Ksirarnawa (the Sea of milk).<br>Not only has the value of Hindu philosophy, Bajra Sandhi Monument is also full of the symbol of independence. The stairs at the main entrance of the monument amounted to 17. The great pillar on the inside of the monument is 8 which has a height of 45 meters.
